Psychometric Properties of the Persian Version of the Principal Instructional Leadership Scale for High School Principals

The study translates and evaluates the psychometric properties of the Principal Instructional Leadership Scale (PILS) for an Iranian population. The cross-cultural adaptation follows five stages: forward translation, synthesis, backward translation, expert review, and pilot testing. Validity is examined via face, content, construct, and convergent validity, while reliability uses Cronbach’s alpha and McDonald’s omega. Exploratory Graph Analysis determines the structure, and both EFA/EGA and CFA support a 5-factor model, yielding strong internal consistency and acceptable AVE.
