FAQs

What is the purpose of this ACT online practice guide?

It helps students do their best on the ACT taken online by providing instructions for taking online practice tests and describing key navigation and features of TestNav.

How do timed and untimed practice tests differ?

Timed practice adds pacing and time countdown, includes warning messages, and prevents returning after submission. Untimed practice lets you track time yourself and, after submission, review answers and compare them to the answer key.

What happens after submitting a multiple-choice practice test?

Submitting generates a Summary Report that indicates the student’s raw score. A Summary Report is not generated for the writing test.
