FAQs

How do you find the domain of a logarithmic function like f(x) = log(x+10)?

To find the domain, set the argument of the logarithm to be strictly greater than zero, resulting in x + 10 > 0, which means x > -10.

What formula is used to solve the cooling cake problem?

The problem uses Newton's Law of Cooling, expressed by the formula T(t) = Tm + (t0 - Tm)e^(-kt), where Tm is the ambient temperature, t0 is the initial temperature, and t is the time elapsed.

How is the accumulated amount calculated for compound interest?

The accumulated amount is calculated using the compound interest formula A = P(1 + r/k)^(kt), where P is the principal, r is the annual interest rate, k is the number of compounding periods per year, and t is the number of years.
