Education Ministry appoints student ambassadors (duta sahsiah) in schools to curb bullying and sexual harassment. Director-general Azman Adnan says the ambassadors will act as bridges between victimised students and teachers, helping those reluctant to report incidents find safer peer-based support. The ministry launched the “Madani Leadership Movement: End Bullying and Sexual Misconduct” programme with nationwide school visits. Official figures show bullying cases rose slightly overall while sexual misconduct involving children increased 26.5%. The initiative supports reporting platforms, guidelines, and awareness programmes.
