(for transfer to MBBS Year 5) | 34-43 | ## SECTION I:PREAMBLE Pakistan Medical &Dental Council(PM&DC)willbe conducting the National Equivalence Board(NEB)for those Pakistani students who wish to migrate to a medical college in Pakistan.This examination isbeing held based on section 19 of the Pakistan Medical &Dental Council Act 2022. As per section 13(d)of the PM&DC Act,the National Medical and Dental Academic Board hasdeveloped the structure and standards of the National Equivalence Board(NEB)Examinations 2024. 3 买 ## FORMAT AND STRUCTURE OF NEB EXAMINATION 2024 ### Eligibility: Any student who has completed more than two years of a medical program in any medical institutionor college outside Pakistan shall be eligible to register for and attempt the respective NEB Examinationto seek a transfer/migration to a PM&DC recognized medical college in Pakistan in the relevant yearhaving completed the period of a foreign program up to the subsequent year in the institution seekinga transfer from.A student shall be required to take the NEB Examination within twelve months ofhaving left the program of study outside Pakistan to be eligible for admission to a medical or dentalcollege in Pakistan. Please note that transfer/migration from the medical institution or college outside Pakistan willonlybe allowed if there is a vacant seat available in the Pakistani Medical College where transfer/migrationis being sought.The student intending to transfer/migrate will not be accommodated over and abovethe seats approved/allocated for that particular Pakistani Medical College. ### Centers: NEB Examinations 2024 will be conducted at multiple centers across Pakistan to facilitate thecandidates.It is envisaged that NEB Examination will be offered certain international centers as well ### Frequency: The NEB Examination will be held at least twice a year. ### Number of attempts: There shall be no restriction on the number of attempts by a student subject to taking the NEBExamination for the first time within twelve months of having left their program of study in the foreigninstitution.A person may re-attempt the exam at any future scheduled NEB Examination windownotified by PM&DC. ### Validity A student's NEB Examination result shall be valid for two years from the date of the examination.If astudent retakes the NEB Examination during this period,the person may use the highest attained resultto apply for transfer to a medical or dental college in Pakistan.
