FAQs

What is the book’s central spiritual focus in its opening?

The opening uses the idea of debt to explain how sin creates a serious consequence—separation from God—and introduces heaven’s “debt” reality as a path toward hope.

Why does the text contrast legalism and atheism?

It describes two extremes: the legalist trying desperately to impress God through effort, and the atheist responding to that demand with unbelief, both producing weariness or loneliness.

What biblical promise anchors the message of “no condemnation”?

Romans 8:1 states that there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, presented as the key answer to Paul’s experience and the book’s hope.
