A moving story told by a child who leaves Korean friends and a familiar home to begin a new life in the United States. The text contrasts everyday routines and home design, including rice-paper doors in Korea versus wooden doors in the U.S., as well as school customs for shoes. It also compares meals such as dumpling soup with possible pizza or hamburgers, and highlights time-zone differences between morning in the U.S. and nighttime in Korea, mixing change with hope for old friends' dreams.
