Operating instructions Part 1 – Driving for Deutsche GROVE GmbH truck crane systems, containing revision notes and legal/copyright restrictions. It specifies maximum permitted driving speeds based on axle load exceeding 12 t and tyre size, warning against exceeding the speed to prevent tyre rupture. It also provides correction and additional page guidance, including stop positions at 0°/180°, fuse replacement amperage rules, and operating procedures for engine brake and transmission retarder with defined power levels and indicator symbols.

G Risk of accidents due to overloading of the tyres Never exceed the maximum permitted speed which is given for the current axle load and tyire size. This prevents the rope tyres from becoming overloaded and rupturing. The maximum permissible speed depends on the size of the tyres and the axle load. The following values only apply to the given tyre pressure, and are maximum values. Also note the information provided by the tyre manufacturer regarding the maximum permitted load duration. | Tyre size / tyre pressure in bar (psi) | Current axle load in t (lbs) | Maximum permissible speed in km/h (mph) | | --- | --- | --- | | 14.00 R 25 / 10 (145 .0) | up to 13.5 (29 800) | 58 (36) | | | up to 14.5 (32 000) | 45 (28) | | | up to 15.5 (34 200) | 32 (20) | | | up to 16.5 (36 400) | 22 (14) | | 16.00 R 25 / 9 (130 .5)

If the symbol ( 1 ) is not available, then this function is not required. Slewing to 0°/180° without automatic mode • Use the Current slewing angle display to slew the superstructure to the required position. 24.08.2009 Blank page 24.08.2009 18.09.2009 Correction sheet Fuses Contrary to the information specified in the operating instructions, changes have been made to the fuses. Depending on the version of the electrical system, the amperage of the F 7/2 and F 7/5 fuses are either 5 amps or 2 amps. Replace the blown fuses with fuses of the same amperage. S Risk of damage due to overheating! If fuse F 7/2 and F 7/5 in the driver's cab are blown, replace them with fuses of the same amperage only. This prevents damage to the electrical parts from overheating. FAQs

What speed limits apply when driving with an axle load over 12 t?

If national regulations allow such loads, the document requires never exceeding the maximum permitted speed listed for the current axle load and tyre size.

Why must the maximum permitted speed not be exceeded for the given tyre and axle load?

It prevents rope tyres from becoming overloaded and rupturing. The permissible maximum speed depends on tyre size and axle load (for the stated tyre pressure values).

How are engine brake and retarder switched on or off?

Both are controlled via the multipurpose switch to levels 5.1–5.3 (engine brake) or 5.1–5.4 (retarder) for increasing brake power, and to level 5.0 to switch them off, with different indicator symbols shown for on/off status.
