In Latin America, child protection services often face resource constraints and systemic delays, making evidence-based interventions both challenging and urgently needed. This case study describes the implementation of Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy in Chile with an 11-year-old girl in foster care presenting complex trauma. The work highlights integrating TF-CBT with crisis intervention, supportive therapy, and creative expression over 25 months, using self-report measures and clinical interviews to assess depression, anxiety, and post-traumatic stress symptoms, while building the trauma narrative through songwriting and audiovisual storytelling.
