This children's book, "My Juggling Granny," tells the story of a grandmother with an extraordinary talent for juggling. The narrative, penned by Mala Kumar and Manisha Chaudhry with illustrations by Niloufer Wadia, describes how Granny's penchant for tossing objects extends beyond the conventional circus act. She juggles various items, from kitchen utensils like eggplants and onions, to office supplies such as books and papers, and even fruit like juicy mangoes. Her juggling is so pervasive that it causes amusing chaos, from her husband's grumbling about mangoes landing with a splash to spoofs staring at flying umbrellas and glasses. Despite the initial fright her antics evoke, the story culminates in a heartwarming scene where her grandfather gifts her colored balls, encouraging her to embrace her unique skill. The book highlights Granny's passion, her shyness in accepting praise, and her unwavering dedication to her craft, juggling until dawn while her grandfather sleeps peacefully. The story promotes early reading skills and critical thinking, encouraging children to explore their own talents and embrace individuality as part of the "Let's Read" initiative by The Asia Foundation. The book is released under a CC-BY-4.0 license, allowing for modification and distribution.
