Mr. Fanboy (รักสุดใจนายแฟนบอย) is a Thai BL romance novel by littlebbear96. The complete novel follows Wan, a devoted fan of actor Nine who dreams of entering the entertainment industry. After landing a role in the same BL series as Nine, Wan clashes with Nine’s partner, Third, but their rivalry gradually turns into unexpected feelings. It was adapted into the same-titled Thai BL drama Mr. Fanboy (รักสุดใจนายแฟนบอย), premiering on August 29, 2026, on iQIYI, starring Auau Thanaphum Sestasittikul, Save Worapong Walor, and James Supamongkon Wongwisut.

What happens when a devoted fanboy finally gets the chance to stand beside his favorite star, only to find himself increasingly distracted by someone he never expected to like? Mr. Fanboy (รักสุดใจนายแฟนบอย) by littlebbear96 turns that fantasy into a Thai BL romance set inside the glamorous but complicated entertainment industry, following university student Wan as his life changes from photographing his idol behind a camera to appearing in the same series.
Wan is an enthusiastic fan of rising actor Nine, and attending events with his DSLR is already part of his routine. His unexpected opportunity to audition for a supporting role in a BL series starring Nine seems like a fanboy dream come true. After passing the casting, however, Wan must work closely with Third, Nine's sharp-tongued on-screen partner and someone he dislikes almost immediately. Their constant friction gives the romance its central tension, while Wan's transition from fan to actor opens the door to Thai BL entertainment-industry romance and a much less polished side of celebrity life.
The complete novel gradually shifts the focus from Wan's admiration for Nine toward his increasingly confusing relationship with Third. Arguments, forced proximity, filming, fandom culture and the pressure surrounding public images begin to blur the line between professional rivalry and attraction. At the same time, Wan discovers that the entertainment industry he once admired from outside is filled with secrets and complications, and even Nine may not be exactly the person his devoted fan imagined. Readers can read online for free or download the ebook for convenient offline reading while following Wan through this changing world.
The story later inspired the Thai BL drama of the same name, รักสุดใจนายแฟนบอย, bringing Wan, Third and Nine's entertainment-industry story to screen. For readers drawn to fan-to-celebrity dynamics, rivals-to-lovers tension and romance behind the cameras, the novel offers more than a simple idol fantasy: Wan finally enters the world he has dreamed about for so long, but the closer he gets to Nine and Third, the harder it becomes to tell which feelings belong to a fan and which have become something far more personal.

"Aaaaaah!!! Eeeeek!!!"

The shrill screams piercing my ears didn't startle me in the slightest. I was used to this kind of environment. Oh, and that numbness creeping up my legs after standing for a full three hours, too.

"Nong Nine!!!"

"Aaaaah, you're so beautiful!!!"

"Nong Nine! Fighting, son!!"

And all kinds of high‑pitched noises around me blending into a chaotic mess. Luckily, my height of 178 centimeters became an advantage amidst the dozens, if not hundreds, of young women packed into the narrow space that the event organizers had designated for fans of the artists attending the launch of a supplement brand at a famous shopping mall in the heart of the city.

Even though I was considerably taller than the girls around me, I still tried to stand on my tiptoes, raising my DSLR camera equipped with a 70‑200 mm zoom lens to capture the best angles. The rapid clicks of the shutter competed with the fans' screams. As I fired off shot after shot, I couldn't help but quietly admire the model in front of me.

That's awesome. Today, Nine stood out under the spotlight as usual. It's no surprise that someone with an aura like his is at the top of the industry. No wonder he won the Best New Actor award this year.

I hid my smile behind the black mask covering my face, my eyes and hands still busy with the camera, firing the shutter continuously. From where I stood, I could only see the side of him from a distance with my naked eye, but thanks to the power of the zoom lens, I could clearly see even the tiny mole next to his ear.

Even his mole is adorable. He's my bias, my bias!!

"Nine!!"

"Aaaaaah!!!"

The screams from Nine's self‑proclaimed mommies grew louder when he turned to wave at his fans after finishing the press photo session. Event staff came to guide him to the special seating area prepared for the artists and VIPs attending the event. Fans quickly shifted their cameras to capture photos and clips as the event officially began.

Damn, it's hot. It's freaking hot! No matter how strong the mall's air conditioning is, it's useless when you're crammed in with a crowd for hours. Still, it's better than an outdoor event. That's why I hang in there, using my camera lens as my second pair of eyes. My finger continuously pressing the shutter when Nine playfully waves at the fans. My heart and hands trembled when I realized Nine was looking straight at my camera.

Aaaagh!!!

Of course, that was just me screaming internally. If I screamed out loud, I'd probably startle everyone around me. I couldn't scare the girls nearby, so I did my best to keep my cool. No one knew I was grinning like a fool under my mask. My legs were still numb, but I wouldn't complain anymore! I could stand here for another half‑day if it meant seeing him.
