FAQs

What pumping principle does the Moyno sanitary pump use?

It is a progressing cavity pump where a single helical rotor rolls eccentrically in the stator’s double threaded helix. Sealed cavities progress from suction to discharge, creating constant-volume positive displacement flow with no valves.

What sanitation requirement does the design support?

The Moyno sanitary pump design helps food, chemical, and pharmaceutical processing meet 3A sanitation requirements. Mechanical seal configurations are required, while pumps with packing do not meet 3A approval.

What topics are covered in the maintenance section?

Maintenance includes general guidance and procedures for packing adjustment and replacement, disassembly steps, cleaning and inspection, and reassembly. It also addresses bearings, seals, rotor and stator service, lubrication during assembly, and reconnection.
