A satirical children’s manners manual that introduces a range of mischievous “Goops” behaviors through instructive, humorous vignettes and verse. The book frames etiquette as something learned from breaking rules, then reforming, with each section targeting a specific fault such as rudeness, noise, laziness, exaggeration, stealing rides, poor visiting manners, messiness, and unkindness. An introduction sets the playful tone and promises guidance for teaching proper conduct to children.
