Mini Num, the Tardigrade El-Sayyed Ibraheem Mostapha Al-Barshomi Amidst the noise in the forest and from the depth of the river, hatches an egg and Mini Num the Tardigrade comes out. He is drifted by the current far away and he finds himself alone. None of the animals noticed he was there, so small he was like a small particle in the air. How would they even see him if he’s that small, they sure won’t notice him at all. Mini Num the Tardigrade never smiled, and because he was gloomy and sad, two hundred-year-old Tiny asked him,”What’s wrong with you now? Try to smile Mini Num. Look at me! Look how happy I am!” ”Come on Mini Num. You’ve got to tell me why are you sad?” said Tiny. Mini Num said,”Iam so so so small. No one could see me at all. I wish I were huge like the hippo or as strong and fierce as the alligator or as beautiful and colourful as fish, but look at me . I am so small. No one can see me at all.” Then Mini Num burst into tears. Tiny said,”Well, I’m sure all the animals you’ve mentioned wished to be as small as you are . I know you don’t get my point, but when you grow up, you’ll know what I mean . Mini Num said,”is this true? How?” Hippos can’t live without air you see, and fish die as soon as they get out of the water. Alligators can’t spend one day in the desert, but look at you. You can live anywhere under any circumstances.” Said Tiny. Mini Num said,”Please take me with you I want to try. Tiny said,”Let’s swim in the river till the mouth of the ocean, then we’ll dive together to the deepest point we can . They dived and dived. Mini Num discovered that he was a great diver. Tiny said,”Not many animals can survive all the pressure and darkness. Only because you are so different, you can live here peacefully. Mini Num was so happy and said,”my size is the secret of my power . What would I have done with lots of muscles.” Tiny said,”Let’s go upwards, as our next adventure is on top of the mountain.”
