Michigan’s Graduated License System outlines step-by-step driver education segments and licensing levels, specifying minimum age thresholds, classroom and behind-the-wheel requirements, vision and health screening, and written exam expectations. The system details fee and eligibility conditions, including parental/guardian approval, proof of identity and Michigan residency, and supervision rules for Level 1. It also defines practice hour completion before progressing, the observation, vehicle inspection, off-road and on-road testing components, and the restrictions that apply until full driving privileges are granted.
