Measuring the Reactivity Worth of Material Perturbations within the UMLRR - Cover Page Template

Oct 1, 2026

COVER PAGE TEMPLATE FOR INDIVIDUAL LABORATORY PROTOCOLS: Measuring the reactivity worth of material perturbations within the UMLRR. The template collects essential exercise details including main topic (steady-state modeling and simulation of reactor cores), optional subtopic, required student level and knowledge scope, and reactor specifications (reactor type, vessel type, reactor power). It also records neutron flux density fields, equipment and data broadcast availability, total duration, and the experimental protocol and teaching languages. Contact and prerequisite knowledge information are included for execution planning.

FAQs

What is the main purpose of this laboratory exercise within the UMLRR?

It measures the reactivity worth of material perturbations within the UMLRR, using steady-state modeling and simulation of reactor cores and emphasizing the importance of code and model.

Which reactor details does the template require for setup?

It collects reactor specifications including reactor type, reactor vessel type, nominal and recommended power, and fields for neutron flux density values (thermal and fast, nominal and recommended).

What information is included for organizing and teaching the protocol?

It captures required student level and specialization, special equipment needs, whether measured data broadcasting is available (including internet-based experiments), overall duration, protocol and teaching languages, prerequisites, and contact person details.
