Speaking at the final round ofthe Selangor DRB-HICOM andHarian Metro 2025 proverb-themed pantun competitionhere,he said the programme ex-emplified how traditional literaryheritage could remain relevantamong youths. Jasbant expressed appreciationto DRB-HICOM group managingdirector Tan Sri Syed Faisal Albarforthe company's commitment inthe collaboration. He also thanked Dewan Bahasadan Pustaka and the Selangor Ed-ucation Department for theircontinuous support. "Pantun is not just wordplay orlight entertainment.It is a lin-guistic art rich with values,phi-losophy and traditional wisdom. He said their cooperationdemonstrated unity inpromotingeducation and cultural values. Jasbant highlighted HarianMetro's contributions to societysince its establishmentin1991. He said the newspaper's in-volvementineducational,cultur-al and community programmes,such as the pantun competition,reflected its commitment to fos-ter unity and preserve Malaysia'sliterary identity. Syed Faisal said the company'sinvolvement was part of its ef-forts to nurture creativity,team-work and cultural appreciationamong students. He said he was heartened bythe overwhelming participation,with 95 entries from 48 Selangorsecondary schools-a sign thatmany people took pride in pre-serving Malaysia's linguistic andcultural heritage.
