This study examines the effectiveness of local taxes and local fees in supporting PAD in North Lombok District during 2017–2019, as well as the level of regional independence. Quantitative analysis is applied using local financial independence rates, local income efficiency for independence, and activity rate measures. Findings indicate North Lombok has not achieved independence, and regional autonomy implementation depends substantially on central government support through transfer funds. Effectiveness remains generally less effective while the activity rate exceeds the cost of capital rate, implying a need for improved PAD generation and spending allocation priorities.

This type of study uses quantitative statements that are analyzed using local financial independence rates, local independent income efficiency rates, and activity rates. According to the survey results, Lombok's Utara district still has not achieved independence, and the implementation of local autonomy relies heavily on the support of the central government through compensation funds. The effective rate still tends to be less effective and the activity rate is higher than the cost of capital rate. It is hoped that the North Lombok county government will be able to continue to increase his PAD yield and prioritize the allocation of regional spending. In this case, the competency of administering regional government includes three things as follows: 1) . The regional government carries out government affairs according to the principle of autonomy and the principle of co-administration to the widest extent possible within the system of the unitary state of the republic of Indonesia. 2) . State government affairs in parallel handle government affairs delegated by the central government, which is the basis for the realization of regional autonomy according to the principle of joint governance. 3) . Provincial government affairs which are the responsibility of the president are carried out by the provincial government whose implementation is delegated to governors and governors/mayors who are funded by the state budget. The implementation and fulfillment of regional autonomy in each country is of course an important focus for increasing the welfare and prosperity of the people. In the implementation of regional autonomy, regional governments can change regional development according to the capabilities and characteristics of their respective regions. This is an excellent opportunity for the community to demonstrate their ability to regulate and exercise their authority over the area. The progress of an area depends on the ability and desire of the region and the city government to implement it, and it is hoped that the city government can express itself in regional development, be innovative and creative, of course this must be in accordance with existing and applicable laws and regulations.
