An exhibition overview for Jacques Salomon presents his distinctive artistic rhythm and combustible temperament among the “Ancients.” It frames the show through the artist’s lifelong discipline, his Paris apartment and connections to theater and master craftsmen, and highlights the sense that his painting practice remains fresh year after year. The text also notes an earlier alternative career before 1914 and situates the exhibition within the Wildenstein & Co. context.
