A horror narrative is adapted for the stage, centered on Robbie and Thing, a being that shifts from best friend to worst enemy. The introduction frames the challenge of turning the original story into theatrical scenes, using devices such as a spooky chorus and a creepy voice, and expanding roles like Robbie’s friend Greg. It outlines the premise, key characters, and the dramatic question of how the timeline and fear factor translate between story and play.
