Image is a powerful form of communication, often transmitting information quickly and effectively, with the ability to inform, question, beautify, seduce, bring art through a unique visual communication present in different areas of life, such as advertising, literature, newspapers, magazines and much more, awakening emotions and leaving a lasting mark on people’s minds. In this sense, Revista Ilustrar has always brought the best produced in terms of images, always by the best artists. In this edition, in addition to the great guest artists, we have a special column written years ago by Carl Sagan, because of a powerful image, very simple but very special. His famous text about this image leaves a reflection on us, our life and our future, and this is the message that Revista Ilustrar would like to leave to everyone in this new year that begins.
