FAQs

How do you start a cold Homelite engine?

Lay the trimmer on a flat surface, press the primer bulb 8 to 10 times, set the choke to the choke position, then hold the trigger and pull the rope until the engine tries to start. Move to half choke and continue pulling until it runs, then warm it for 30 to 45 seconds at full throttle on half choke.

What is the procedure for starting a warm engine?

Move the choke lever to the run position, hold the trigger, and pull the starter rope until the engine starts.

How do you stop the trimmer engine?

Push and hold the STOP button until the engine stops, or place the stop-start switch in the OFF position as shown in the referenced figures.
