Heroines from Abroad - Poems - Christine Marendon

Sep 28, 2026

Bilingual poetry collection featuring German poems by Christine Marendon, with translations by Ken Cockburn. The book includes a substantial contents list of titled works, followed by the opening poem “NACH REGENGUS SEN” and its imagery-rich exploration of climate, nature, structure, and rhythm. Themes emphasize relationships between sky and earth, the ordering principles shaping growth, and recurring cycles of motion, rotation, and symbolic “sequences” that suggest a living world beyond static appearances.
