Application for Graduate School Master’s Course Master’s Course (Admission for International Students and Full-time Employees) April 2026 and October 2026 Admission Information and Application Graduate School of Marine Science and Technology Tokyo University of Marine Science and Technology Welcome to the Tokyo University of Marine Science and Technology-TUMSAT Master’s Courses for International Students TUMSAT offers the following seven Master’s degree course programs for international students. Graduates are awarded either a Master of Marine Science degree or a Master of Engineering degree from TUMSAT. ≪Security export control≫ Tokyo University of Marine Science and Technology (TUMSAT) has established the "TUMSAT's Security Export Control Regulations (SECR)" in accordance with the Foreign Exchange and Foreign Trade Act of Japan. The SECR has a strict screening process for accepting international students, especially regarding the transfer of technology and export of goods. Suppose your intended research or educational activities involve regulated technologies or items under the Foreign Exchange and Foreign Trade Act of Japan. In that case, there maybe restrictions on your studies or research. In some cases, you may not be able to participate in specific programs. Before submitting your application, please consult with your proposed supervisor to confirm whether you can conduct your desired research under the SECR. For more information about Japan's security export control system, please visit the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) website: [https://www.meti.go.jp/policy/anpo/englishpage.html](https://www.meti.go.jp/policy/anpo/englishpage.html) ≪Important Notices≫ Measures for those with influenza or other infectious diseases ★ Precautions regarding infectious diseases subject to suspension of attendance under the School Health and Safety Act: On the day of the examination, examinees who have an infectious disease (influenza, measles, new coronavirus infection, etc.) for which attendance is suspended under the School Health and Safety Act and have not yet recovered will not be allowed to take the examination, as there is a risk of infection among other examinees and supervisors. However, this does not apply to those who have been certified by a school physician or other physician as having no risk of infection due to their medical condition. Please note that the University will not conduct a follow-up examination or refund the entrance examination fee due to the above-mentioned reasons. All examinees are requested to take good care of their health and prevent infection so that they will be in perfect physical condition on the day of the examination.
