FAQs

What grades are defined in the component-level raw mark table for June 2024 Chemistry (0620)?

The table lists minimum raw marks for grades A, B, C, D, E, F and G. It also states that A* does not exist at the level of an individual component.

How are the overall grade thresholds after weighting calculated in the document?

Overall thresholds are given for different options, each defined by a maximum weighted mark and a combination of components (e.g., BX uses 21, 41, 51). The document then provides the grade cut-offs for A* through G for each option.

What does the document say about A* in relation to component thresholds?

A* does not exist as a threshold for an individual component. It is only available at the overall thresholds level for the weighted component combinations.
