FAQs

What are the key heat exchanger and control features in GMSS92/GCSS92?

The units use a heavy-duty aluminized-steel tubular heat exchanger and a stainless-steel secondary heat exchanger. They also include a single-stage gas valve, silicon nitride igniter, and a self-diagnostic control board with color-coded low-voltage terminals.

What venting options are supported and how are they configured?

The cabinets are certified for direct vent (2-pipe) or non-direct vent (1-pipe). Top venting is easy to install, with optional side venting, and installer-supplied combustion air and flue outlet piping must meet diameter requirements.

What cautions and clearance requirements apply for performance and servicing?

For bottom return, failure to unfold flanges may reduce airflow by up to 18%, affecting performance and noise. Servicing or cleaning requires a 24-inch front clearance, and unit accessibility clearance must take precedence over enclosure clearances when greater.
