We are studying Edexcel History course. The 4 topics we study are:
• Medicine in Britain, c1250–present and The British sector of the Western Front, 1914–18: injuries, treatment and the trenches.
• Early Elizabethan England, 1558–88
• Superpower relations and the Cold War, 1941–91

There are Three History exams:
Paper 1 – 1 hour and 15 minutes long. It is worth 52 marks-30%
Paper 2 – 1 hour and 45 minutes long. It is two booklets each worth 32 marks – 40% Paper 3-1 hour 20 minutes long. It is worth 52 marks-30%

Homework will be set once per week as per the whole school homework timetable.
Homework will be expected to be handed in on time; otherwise, a C3 will be issued. We set a variety of homework’s, including:
• Extension work to link to class work.
• Independent tasks preparing students for lessons.
