Further notes document the development and life history of a miscellaneous group of teleostean fishes, continuing earlier studies in U.S. Bureau of Fisheries bulletins. Specimens and data were mainly collected at Beaufort, N.C., with additional material obtained elsewhere through fisheries research expeditions. Field work from 1925 to 1932 involved station staff and accompanying researchers, while reported methods and illustrations supported systematic sorting, identification, and interpretation of developmental stages and species accounts.
