Oct 20, 2026

This educational resource provides a series of mathematical problems tailored for Entry 2 level students, focusing on practical applications within a gym context. The handout introduces essential vocabulary related to fitness equipment and exercises, such as barbells, pull-up bars, and stationary bikes. Students are presented with seven word-based math challenges involving basic arithmetic operations, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division, designed to build core numeracy skills. By utilizing real-world scenarios, such as tracking swimming lengths, calculating cycling distances, and determining the purchase of protein bars, the document effectively bridges the gap between academic mathematics and daily life tasks. Each problem encourages students to show their working, and the resource includes a complete answer key at the end for self-assessment and review purposes, making it an ideal tool for classroom practice or independent study.
