Belt routing overview for a 7.3L V8 engine using the ROUSH CleanTech Propane fuel system. The material compares FEAD layouts across six FEAD variations, noting that the 7.3L FEAD uses two sheaves meeting at the crank pulley, unlike the three-sheave arrangement on a 6.8L V10. Routing diagrams identify belts and pulleys for configurations with and without AC, dual AC, and with or without an air pump.

Belt Routing and Overview

FEAD Variations for 7.3L Engine

BELT ROUTING AND OVERVIEW Over the next few pages are images of the routing for each of the six (6) FEAD variations for the 7. 3L V8 engine equipped with the ROUSH CleanTech Propane fuel system. The FEAD for the 7.3L engine has two sheaves, in comparison to the three on the 6.8L V10, which meet at the crank pulley. The FEAD for the 7.3L does not have a PTO and the belts can be removed without having to move large FEAD brackets. p 1st Sheave 2nd Sheave 1st Sheave Belt 2nd Sheave Belt 1st Sheave Belt 2nd Sheave Belt Crank BELT ROUTING LPG Engine-w/o AC and w/o Air Pump Alternator Pulley Idler Pulley Idler Pulley Idler Pulley Water Pump Pulley Tensioner Idler Pulley Idler Pulley 1st Sheave Belt Idler Pulley Crank Pulley 2nd Sheave Belt Power Steering Pump LPG Engine-w/ AC and w/o Air Pump Idler Pulley 1st Sheave Belt AC Compressor Idler Pulley Water Pump Pulley Idler Pulley Idler Pulley Tensioner Power Steering Pump Idler Pulley 2nd Sheave Belt Crank Pulley LPG Engine-w/ Dual AC and w/o Air Pump AC Compressor Alternator Pulley Idler Pulley Idler Pulley Idler Pulley Water Pump Pulley Idler Pulley 1st Sheave Belt AC Compressor Idler Pulley Tensioner Power Steering Pump Idler Pulley 2nd Sheave Belt Crank Pulley LPG Engine-w/ Dual AC and w/ Air Pump Alternator Pulley Idler Pulley Idler Pulley AC Compressor Idler Pulley Idler Pulley Water Pump Pulley Tensioner Idler Pulley Idler Pulley 1st Sheave Belt AC Compressor Power Steering Pump 2nd Sheave Belt Crank Pulley LPG Engine-w/ AC and w/ Air Pump Idler Pulley Alternator Pulley Idler Pulley Idler Pulley Water Pump Pulley Idler Pulley 1st Sheave Belt AC Compressor Crank Pulley Air Pump Pulley Tensioner Idler Pulley Power Steering Pump 2nd Sheave Belt LPG Engine-w/o AC and w/ Air Pump Air Pump Pulley Alternator Pulley Idler Pulley Idler Pulley Idler Pulley Water Pump Pulley Idler Pulley 1st Sheave Belt AC Delete Pulley Crank Pulley Power Steering Pump Idler Pulley 2nd Sheave Belt

FAQs

What engine and fuel system are covered by the belt routing map?
