Nanocarrier platforms combining photothermal and chemotherapeutic modalities offer a promising route for anti-tumor treatment by exploiting the tumor microenvironment. This work develops an Fe3O4@HKUST-1 system where the MOF HKUST-1 serves as a drug carrier and Fe3O4 provides photothermal functionality. The carrier achieves a high Doxorubicin loading rate and efficient near-infrared (980 nm) photothermal conversion. pH-sensitive release accelerates drug liberation in acidic tumor conditions. In vitro biocompatibility and cell-viability results show stronger growth inhibition with combined chemo-photothermal therapy than photothermal therapy alone.
