FAQs

What do the scaled mark unit grade boundaries represent in this document?

They provide the grade boundary thresholds based on maximum scaled marks for each Principal Learning unit in the January 2013 Diploma exams.

Why are scaled mark grade boundaries the same as raw mark grade boundaries?

Because each unit consists of just one component, no scaling is necessary, so scaled and raw grade boundaries match.

Are all units listed with the same grading range in both Diploma Levels 1 and 2?

No. Diploma Level 1 lists boundaries across A*, A and B, while Diploma Level 2 includes additional grade columns (A*, A, B and C).

Does the document indicate when no candidates were entered for a unit?

Yes. For some unit codes, it explicitly states that no candidates were entered for that unit.
