Digital PSAT Practice Test Instructions Taking adigital PSAT practice test is as easy as 1 – 2 – 3. The new digital SAT doesn’t debut until March 2024, but students will get a sneak-peek in the form of the new digital PSAT given in October. The College Board has made it easy to: Create a brand-new email address for your account. One of the ways College Board makes money is by selling lists of emails of students with particular characteristics to colleges who might be interested in them. Expect the inbox of whatever address you do use to end up full of unsolicited “junk”mail from colleges you’ve never heard of – especially if you do as well on the test as you’d like to! Pay attention to required fields. Much of the background information about your family and educational history is NOT required. Skipping all those questions can reduce registration time to under 5 minutes. Answering all the questions can take MUCH longer and cause some students to put off registering and miss registration deadlines! 1. Create your College Board student account if you don’t already have one. If you haven’t done so yet, you’ll need to create a College Board student account here. This is the account you’ll need not only to access practice tests but also to register for the SAT and AP exams and to send your scores to colleges afterwards. TIP TIP 2. Download the Bluebook App. You’ll take your practice test AND your official test using the same CollegeBoard Bluebook App, which you’ll need to download on the tablet or laptop you wish to use. (The app CANNOT be installed on a smartphone. ) The real PSAT you take will look exactly like your practice test, since you’re taking it on the same app and ideally even on the same device! Take your practice test! After you sign into Bluebook you should see the heading Practice and Prepare on the home screen. Choose Full-Length Practice and then select PSATRelated Assessments and finally PSAT/NMSQT. You can also specify any testing accommodations you have at this point before hitting Next to start the test. Follow all the prompts as the app manages all the section timings and breaks for you. After your testis done, you’ll need to click the yellow View Your Score button, which will take you to the College Board website where you can view your results.(If you haven’t set your browser to remember the password, you’ll likely need to sign in again. ) TIP Have questions about your scores or what todo now?
