How long do you have to schedule and take the exam after receiving the ATT?

You have 180 days (about 6 months) to schedule and take your exam. If you fail to test within 180 days, fees are forfeited and you must reapply.

When should you reschedule or cancel your exam?

Rescheduling or cancellation must occur at least 2 business days before the exam.

What happens if you need to retake the NCLEX after the 3-year application period?

If you do not pass within 3 years, you must reapply with new documentation, including proof of completing an NCLEX Review Course. After the 3-year period expires, submit a new IDFPR application with a new transcript, new fingerprinting, and proof of the NCLEX review course.
