Repair instructions provide wiring diagram guidance for cruise control amplifier systems across specific vehicle models and model-year ranges. It clarifies that wiring diagrams for models 129 and 140 reference a separate file, and notes the new cruise control amplifier with reference resistor affects hardware introduction without changing cabling, so it does not require wiring diagram updates. Separate sections cover Model 124 automatic and manual transmission applications, listing sensors, switches, actuator, connectors, grounds, and fuse points.

# A.General These repair instructions only include wiringdiagrams for the models 124 and 201 up to08/89 or model'year 89.Wiring diagrams formodels 129 and 140 as of 09/89 or model year 90,refer to the file”Electric wiring diagrams”. A new cruise control amplifier with referenceresistor is installed in the models 201.029/128.On the other models it will be phased in. The new cruise control amplifier has no influenceon the cabling and therefore also not on thewiring diagrams. FAQs

Which models are covered by the repair wiring instructions?

The instructions include wiring diagrams for models 124 and 201 up to 08/89 (model-year 89), and provide additional guidance for other model-year ranges within the Model 124 sections.

Where can wiring diagrams for models 129 and 140 be found?

Wiring diagrams for models 129 and 140 as of 09/89 (model-year 90) are referenced to the separate file titled “Electric wiring diagrams”.

Does installing the new cruise control amplifier change the cabling or wiring diagrams?

No. The new cruise control amplifier with reference resistor has no influence on the cabling and therefore does not affect the wiring diagrams.
