This Country Partnership Framework (CPF) comes at a historical moment, when Argentina has embarked on a structural break from the past. For the first time in decades, the country has a window of opportunity to resolve the deep structural constraints that past reform cycles failed to address. By supporting access to international markets, private sector-led growth including attracting foreign direct investment (FDI) and developing capital markets, and job creation over a period of eight years, the World Bank Group (WBG) will help Argentina lock in its reform advances and build the foundations for lasting prosperity. 2. Argentina remains one of Latin America’s largest and most resource-rich economies, with askilled workforce and strengths in sectors such as agroindustry, energy, mining, and knowledgebased industries.
