The Executive Committee of the Associationfor International Conciliation wish to arouse theinterest of the American people in the progress ofthe movement for promoting international peaceand relations of comity and good fellowshipbetween nations. To this end they print andcirculate documents giving information as to theprogress of these movements,in order that indi-vidual citizens, the newspaper press, and organi-zations of various kinds may have readily availableaccurate information on these subjects.A list ofpublications will be found on page 15· # THE CARNEGIE ENDOWMENT FORINTERNATIONAL PEACE When it was announced in December,I9Io,thatMr.Carnegie had given ten million dollars to serveas a permanent fund, the income of which was to beused to advance the cause of international peace, nolittle curiosity was exprest as to how so large a sumcould be expended in such a cause. After three yearsof experience, the trustees find themselves quite un-able to meet even a snmall fraction of the demandsmade upon them for aid from organizations,institu-tions,and individuals working for the promotion ofinternational peace in all parts of the world. The leastof the difficulties confronting the trustees has beento spend their income;the question has been simplyhow to spend it most wisely. The two Year Books ofthe Endowment, which are to be found in every libraryof importance and on the desk of almost every ForeignOffice and diplomat, and which may be had for theasking, tell in detail the story of the organization andmethods of work adopted by the trustees. No part ofthis detailed information,so readily accessible, needbe repeated her
