This book provides ramblers with a sure guide to rambles fromLaverton to Northleach. Here are rambles some of which are frequently visited by the rambler, but others are rarely walked andthereby gain an additional charm. The map on the back of the book will assist in determining thestart of each of the rambles. In the book each ramble is described in full detail and along-side the narrative is a clear indication of the number of the mapapplicable to each part of the narrative. The maps are placedtogether at the end of the narratives. They are on the 2/2"scaleand show sufficient detail to enable the rambler to pinpoint hisposition on the map in relation to the narrative. The numbers in circle on these maps indicate the number ofmiles from the start of the walk. The large capital letters indicatethe continuity of the route. The Grid North is shewn on each map. If the narrative and the map are read carefully, the ramblershould have no difficulty in following any of the rambles.Wherethe direction of a ramble is changing rapidly the narrative and themap will require some concentration, but in many parts an instruc-tion in the narrative will take the rambler as much as two mileswithout reference to the map or narrative. Each ramble starts and finishes at the same place and approx-imately halfway round there is a place for refreshment. Allow approximately one hour for each two miles, but this willvary according to the vigour applied and the seeing of things ofinterest. Whilst the Cotswolds do not have the dangers of mountains orwild moorlands some precautions will ensure that enjoyment is notmarred. Therefore make sure that your clothing and especiallyyour footwear are comfortable and adequate and see you havesufficient time to complete a ramble before sunset While each ramble follows throughout its length existing "Rights of Way"and every possible care has been taken to ensurethe accuracy of all information given in this book, the Compilersand Publishers cannot accept any liability for the accuracy of theinformation given or for its interpretation by readers. ## THE COUNTRY CODE Please remember,as you walk through the countryside,to respect the privacy andlivelihood of those who live in the country. The Country Code asks you to:- 1.
