Upload by Riley

This document outlines the Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) and Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD) certifications, including a "101" introductory session and an Ask Me Anything (AMA) component. It details the 'Why' behind pursuing these certifications, emphasizing Kubernetes' rapid growth, the value of validation, its role in achieving Kubernetes Certified Service Provider status, and its impact on current and future job prospects. Prerequisites for the certification include familiarity with storing files on Linux, using Bash, SSH, and basic kubectl commands, with a preference for Ubuntu experience. The document highlights the privileges associated with taking the exam, such as the ability to take it at home in Chrome, its interactive and open-book nature, access to official documentation (Kubernetes.io/docs/, Github.com/kubernetes/, Kubernetes.io/blog/), and a free retry upon failure. Significant attention is given to the testing environment setup, stressing the need for a quiet space, a clean desk, adequate lighting (in front and above, not behind), and a stable internet connection. Additional environmental considerations for the test include ensuring the mouth is visible, refraining from talking, and avoiding cheat sheets. The speaker, Christian Jantz, is identified as a CNCF Ambassador, Founder of Level 25, and experienced with CKA & CKAD, kops, and sig-release, noting his preference for whiteboarding over traditional slides.
