CHRIST’S COMET - A Nativity Play and a Passion Play

“Christ’s Comet” presents a combined Nativity and Passion play in which principal characters recur across both parts, letting major events unfold through the perspectives of people living in those times. The drama begins in a casual, even flippant manner, then steadily gains momentum toward a final climax of overwhelming intensity. First produced at Canterbury Cathedral in 1938, it was later chosen for the Canterbury Festival in 1958 and is revised here by the author for this Drama Library edition.
