Calculators and Mathematics Project (CAMP-LA) developed calculator-focused curriculum materials for grades 3–4 through three stages: curriculum review and topic selection, lesson development aligned with the California Mathematics Framework strands, and nationwide field testing. The book includes an overview, assessment approaches, scope and sequence, and 49 lessons across six chapters. Each lesson is organized into Grade (level/strand/skills and purpose), Management (class organization, time, materials, vocabulary, prerequisites), and Lesson (direct instruction, guided practice, independent practice, evaluation, and home activity).
