This document provides essential guidance regarding the carry forward of results for the Cambridge IGCSE (9-1) Art & Design syllabus (0989) for the 2028 examination series. It confirms that the recent revisions to the assessment structure do not negatively impact the ability of candidates to carry forward marks from the 2027 series to 2028. Specifically, candidates may carry forward marks for Component 1 from the June 2027 series to complete their IGCSE certification in the June 2028 series. The text reinforces that standard administrative procedures remain in effect, and it directs examination centers to the official Cambridge Handbook for comprehensive protocols and retake entry information. This ensures that students and educators can maintain continuity in their assessment journey despite curriculum updates, providing a stable pathway for those managing multi-year academic objectives. By outlining these clear, standardized options, Cambridge International Education facilitates a seamless transition for students, supporting effective academic planning and long-term qualification management during the 2028 assessment cycle.
