FAQs

Why does the magazine say there is no age limit for driving?

It states that driving is strictly a question of health. Medical and functional limitations—not age alone—can affect safe driving.

What warning signs should caregivers watch for in a loved one behind the wheel?

The editorial points to difficulties such as trouble reading road signs at night, increased incidents like fender benders, getting lost in familiar areas, and distressing experiences when the driver is forced to stop.

What actions can help extend a person’s ability to drive safely?

Suggested approaches include avoiding busy highways and adapting the vehicle using safety technology. The editorial also emphasizes that if health is no longer reliable, it’s time to stop driving.
