FAQs

What is the main purpose of the pocket chart activities in this book?

Use the rimes as headers to sort words and pictures, building recognition of word families and supporting early reading with structured visual cues.

How do you set up the AT/AG and OT/OG word puzzles?

Print the pictures onto cardstock, laminate for durability, and cut along dotted lines to make a three-piece puzzle for each CVC word.

How should a child blend the sounds to read an AT word like “pat”?

Help the child read it letter-sound by letter (e.g., /p/-/a/-/t/ with spaces), then blend the sounds more quickly to say the full word.
