Ben undressed, put on his pajamas, and got into bed

Oct 13, 2026

Ben undresses, puts on his pajamas, and heads to bed, bothered by the way his glasses get in the way during sports. On a night when a shooting star appears, Ben struggles to sleep, but the next morning he discovers a startling change: he can see through objects and even through his bedroom wall. His “super eyes” let him view his parents in the kitchen, watching daily moments like packing lunches and cooking oatmeal.

Ben was sure there had been a time beforeglasses, but he could hardly recall it.His glasseswere a pain when he played sports and they werealways getting in the way.It was unfair!Whydid he always have to wear those glasses!Ben lay in bed and lookedout the window for a while, unable to sleep. Ben was curious as he sat up for a better look.Ashooting star! That was good luck, and a surprise, too. It was hard to see stars of any kind in the brightsky of the city, and Ben had seen this shooting starwithout his glasses! Ben had a bigger surprise when he opened hiseyes the next morning. The first thing he saw was abright blue sky.He closed his eyes again, sure thathe must be dreaming. Then he slowly reopened them. The same blue sky was still there, unchanged, butnow there was an airplane flying through it.As Benstared,he noticed that he could see the inside of theplane, too! The rows of seats were filled with people.A woman passed out drinks from a cart. Then theplane was gone.
