Behavioral Neuroscience - George Spilich

Aug 2, 2026

Behavioral Neuroscience presents an integrated biological perspective on human behavior, connecting biology, genetics, developmental biology, gerontology, psychopharmacology, cognitive psychology, and sociology. The book frames core questions about how evolutionary history shapes behavior, how genes contribute to behavioral control, and how biological systems encode, store, and retrieve information. It also highlights how disease and damage can disrupt these mechanisms, linking foundational science to understanding behavior and learning.
