As We Face The Sun By Kit Withington 6-8 March 2025 Bridewell Theatre, London @rosebrufordcollege [bruford.ac.uk](bruford.ac.uk) Play summary Setting London Time present day At the Lamb Pub in West London the same group of people gather on the same date every year. To drink. To party. To honour the one they lost along the way. The characters exist between two time periods —the fizzing energy of teenagers growing up in school life in the mid-2010’s and the growing pains of their mid-twenties in the modern day. As We Face The Sun explores what collective grief looks and feels like in fierce technicolour. Kit Withington’s contemporary play is a bold poetic vision. No characters or lines are defined in the writing. We hope we have created a brave and effervescent interpretation that celebrates school friendships, growing up and, most vitally, letting go. This amateur production is presented by arrangement with Nick Hern Books. Run time 1 hour 30 minutes with no interval Please note that this production contains themes of death.
