Robust metal–organic framework materials enable property tuning through post-synthetic modification, especially by functionalizing amino groups. The study presents test modifications of Ti-MIL125-NH2 to adjust porous and catalytic behavior and reports the first use of a mild amide synthesis method for post-synthetic modification. MIL125-NH2 is characterized by Rietveld refinement and a structural model linking inorganic Ti-oxide clusters with aminoterephthalate linkers.
