FAQs

What is the main quilting project goal in the introduction?

Create a patriotic quilt project by stitching a design that celebrates American spirit, starting from a small quilt or pillow and using red, white, and blue fabrics.

What fabric guidance does the book provide?

It recommends using 100% cotton for best results, washing new fabric before sewing to prevent color running, and repurposing old shirts, pajamas, and dresses as quilting fabric.

Why choose cotton batting instead of polyester?

Cotton batting is described as easier to cut with edges that do not fall apart, while polyester is implied to be less suitable; cotton flannel is an alternative for a flatter quilt.
