FAQs

Which Singer machine models are covered in this adjusters manual?

The manual covers Singer lock stitch adjustable reverse feed machines for family use, specifically models 201-1, 201-2, 201-3, 201-4, and 1200-1.

What are the key features described for the machines in the “Descriptions” section?

The machines use a horizontal rotating sewing hook to form stitches in forward and reverse directions, include a feed throw-out device to lower the feed dog, provide graduated needle thread tension adjustment, and use a hinged presser foot. Different models are powered by foot, motor through gears or belt, or hand operation.

How should genuine needles and parts be handled according to the purchasing guidance?

Supplies of parts and needles can be purchased at a Singer shop or ordered by mail. Genuine Singer needles should be used, and the needles and their containers are marked with the SIMANCO trade mark; containers marked “For Singer Machines” are not Singer-made.
